Four Barry businesses sold age restricted products to under 18's

Officers from Shared Regulatory Service, working jointly with OfficersBuying alcohol from South Wales Police, conducted an underage sales operation in the Barry area last week.

July 26th, 2021

Four of the premises visited sold age restricted goods, including alcohol and nicotine inhaling products to a volunteer who was under the age of 18.

SRS regularly check that retailers are complying with the law on age restricted products and action will be taken against those who are found to be non-compliant.

Age restricted products have a minimum age of purchase as they are considered to be harmful to children and teenagers.
