The law on allergens and ingredients lists is changing on 1st October 2021
To help you understand what these changes are, whether they affect your
business and what you need to do to prepare your business for these changes, we are providing free online workshops for food businesses across Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
July 1st, 2021
The new law, known as Natasha's Law, will require food businesses to provide full ingredient lists and allergen labelling on foods pre-packaged for direct sale on the premises. Our one hour workshops will provide you with an overview of the changes in law and give you the opportunity to ask our Trading Standards Officers any questions that you may have about these changes and how they may apply to your business.
These workshops will take place online so you will need access to a device such as a laptop, smart phone or tablet and internet access. There are a limited number of places per session, so if you would like to book your place on one of our workshops, please email us at training-srswales@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk.
You will need to tell us your full name, the name and address of your business and your email address for us to book you onto the workshop. All attendees of our workshops who complete our evaluation form, will be issued with a certificate of attendance, which will be sent to the email address provided within a week of the workshop.
Our workshops are taking place on:
- Tuesday 31st August 2021 between 09:00 - 10:00
- Thursday 2nd September 2021 between 15:00 – 16:00
- Thursday 9th September 2021 between 13:00 – 14:00
- Wednesday 22nd September 2021 between 11:00 – 12:00
Please note that our workshops are likely to run on longer than one hour if we receive lots of questions, so you may wish to take that into account when selecting which workshop date and time is best for you.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of our workshops.
